Welcome to the Academic Affairs website
The mission of the Office of Academic Affairs is to support faculty and academic staff in their efforts to educate students to shape culture through the practice and critical study of the arts. As chief academic officer of the college, I am committed to recruiting and supporting an outstanding faculty of teachers who are also prominent practitioners and scholars and to leading the Academic Affairs staff in support of CCA’s diverse programs. The academic administration is dedicated to improving educational resources across the college and working closely with faculty, program chairs, instructional support areas, and the Student Affairs staff to enhance student learning.
The heart of any educational institution is its faculty, and CCA has an exceptional team of artists, designers, writers, and scholars. As we celebrate our centennial, it is important to note that CCA is not only an institution with a rich history, it is also a dynamic and continuously evolving college keenly engaged with contemporary practice—a forum to explore the rich interaction between art, culture, and society. Fueled by increased national visibility and expanded program offerings our student body and our faculty numbers have increased. Today, CCA has two vibrant campuses, nearly thirty distinct majors, and more that 450 members of the faculty. The need to improve communication with (and among) all faculty, and to provide greater access to our growing resources, has never been greater. The Academic Affairs website has been developed to help address these needs.
Please take the opportunity to familiarize yourself with the site, which has been designed as a tool for faculty, program chairs, and administrative staff. You will find information pertaining to faculty governance, faculty development, and accreditation, along with other helpful resources. We will continue to update and add to the website as CCA moves towards more web-based services for students, faculty, and staff.
